At Legends, Dorset, 11th April 2010

 

Match Report – Well, it took us a while to get going didn’t it! The first two legs were lost 8 – 3 which in no way reflects what we were capable of. We did experience some bad run, 3 matches in the first 2 legs were lost due to the black being potted prematurely!

 

In the third leg, we started to pull it back winning 5 frames. Was it the beer kicking in or the food….?!

 

Fourth leg, we pulled out what we should have been doing all match with a 6 – 5 win. Unfortunately it was too late and we finished with a 27 – 17 defeat.

 

We are definitely missing some noise. For me, team noise always makes the game all the better.. we need to get behind each other and cheer each other on. Has it gone quiet because we have such a small squad? Feel free to bring along as many supporters as you can to our county matches.. perhaps we need some cheerleaders – what do you think?! I’ll provide the pink pom pom’s!!

 

Lady of the Match – Ali, Vicky C, Hayley and Myself all won 2 from 4 so should give themselves a pat on the back.. remember, if everyone win’s at least 2, we cannot lose!! I’d like to thank Kev, our broken fingered supporter for the day also! My Lady of the match is Pee who managed a very convincing 3 from 4 and goes from strength to strength as a major asset to the Bristol Ladies side. Thanks Pee.

 

Next Match – We are home (hurrah) to Cornwall who have been having a great season this year so far.. They have beaten Dorset and Wiltshire, both with convincing scorelines of 28 – 16.How great would it be if we could pull this one out of the bag and upset the apple cart!

 

So Ladies, here’s what I want you to do:

 

Practice, practice, practice – either with your coach’s/team mates or at the pub with the locals.

Set yourself a goal – set yourself a goal of one more frame than last match

Be loud! On the actual day – let’s make sure we make some noise…

Get to the match at 11 – let’s get ourselves awake for the game. Be there at 11 if possible and warm up.

Wear PINK pants – I’m not kidding – GO AND BUY SOME…..!

Win, win, win! Erm, what I just said!!!!
