Match Report – Well,
what a hammering! I was expecting it to be closer than that I must say!! The
first leg was lost 8 – 3 so we were off to a bad start..
the second leg was the same scoreline
leaving us with a 16 – 6 deficit.
In
the third leg, we started to pull things back and play how we are capable – we
won that leg 6 frames to 5! See – we CAN play better (and it might have helped
with the magic sweets!)
It
wasn’t happening again in the fourth leg though and sadly we lost by a whopping
18 frames.
There
were several games I saw where we were either making silly mistakes or again,
not getting over the line on the black.. A Devon
player told me that they were worried about playing us as they had seen such an
improvement from last season and could see us coming up through the ranks (we
didn’t give them too much to worry about though did we!)
Lady of the Match – Hayley
was close as she really showed she’s up for it this season, with a winning
attitude from before the match even started. She was determined the whole day
and played really well. Thanks Hayley. My Lady of the match is Ali, a solid
performance again and a well deserved 4 out of 4. Thanks Ali.
Next Match – We are
away to Dorset who have been struggling to find their
form this season. They were beaten by Wiltshire Ladies last game and are going
to be beaten by Bristol Ladies in this game!!
It’s
time we pulled a win out of the bag. We cannot get that win without EVERYONE
making an effort to get there. It’s a team game and we are a great team – let’s
prove it!
Come
on Ladies, the atmosphere was a bit flat at the last game. Let’s ramp it up a
bit and get behind each other! You know you can do it!
It’s
key to stick together and gee each other on. Let’s get determined, let’s play
some great pool and let’s have a good day.
