Match Report – We knew it would be a hard match against Somerset didn’t we? In the first leg I was getting really frustrated as we should have won most of the 8 frames we dropped! Saying that, I saw some great pool, we just didn’t seem to be able to get over the line in our games.

 

The second leg was our best, winning 5 frames from the 11 on offer. Shame we couldn’t continue the increase in wins as the third leg only saw 3 wins and the last leg only 4!

 

I still have confidence in the team this season, we are definitely getting better, 3 years ago we wouldn’t have managed to get 15 away from Somerset so we are on the right track. Debs commented again on what a good atmosphere we have as a team – let’s keep that up and build on it.

 

I’d like to welcome back Ashley – a welcome return to the team. I’d also like to thank each of you for your continued dedication to the squad and I hope that you really look forward to our matches as much as I do (despite pre match nerves!)

 

Lady of the Match – Pee, Hayley and Ashley all played well and got 2 from 4 for the team, thanks Ladies. My Lady of the match is Merran who achieved a brilliant 3 from 4. The match she lost was against Lisa Moore who finished with 4 out of 4 for Somerset, a great player. WELL DONE MERRAN!!

 

Next Match – Hurrah for being home for this game against Devon – a really tough squad so we have to be on our games girls. It’s time to bring out the pink pants again (yes Ash – it’s part of the rules now!) and really get on it.. Let’s bring our home team atmosphere to the game and show the Devon girls what we can do this season!

 

Practice is on Thursday 11th March at the Three Crowns from 7.30. The tables are free so please try to make it – it’s really important that we all get some practice together as a team to bring our game together. Please let me know if you can make it.

 

Lastly, now Zoe has gone from the team we need a new Vice Captain. The role of the VC is to help run the team on the county days and also help organize practice sessions etc. If you are interested, please let me know (I need help lol!).  Looking forward to seeing you all on March 14th!!
