Cornwall L 27-17 Bristol L

#At Bodmin Snooker & Pool Club, 13th September 2009

Match Report – We always struggle for numbers away to Cornwall and this match was no different, due to sickness and no-shows we ended up with the bare 11! Despite that, we got a good team atmosphere going straight away and were keeping level with Cornwall right up until the end of the third leg where we were down by only one frame 17 - 16. I’m not quite sure what happened then as it all went downhill, was it the hangovers from the night before perhaps or too much beer on the day? We only managed one win in the last leg to bring the final score to 27 – 17. I was disappointed at the end of the day but we have to appreciate what we can do as a team – this was with a few of our key players missing and we still played that well – come on girls!

Lady of the Match – I have to say well done to Cara who went in, first county game and won it! I know you were disappointed Cara with the one win but how many of us have won our first county match – not me! I look forward to seeing you get more and more used to the match atmosphere, you are a welcome addition to the side. Donna also played well and achieved a fine 2 from 4, well done Donna – your game seems to get better and better! Also – well done to Jess who after 2 hours sleep and several beers managed a fab 3 from 4, thanks Jess. My Lady of the match can only go to Pee who not only scored a fantastic 4 from 4 but also keeps us all going during the day with her rather funny cheers. I must also say thanks to the boys who were cheering us on again from the sidelines.

Next Match –Next game is home against Dorset so let’s get it together. Plus points already are we get decent music and food so let’s build on that and get the atmosphere going and the wins coming in! I’m really looking forward to it and could see us pulling out a shock defeat.. Remember – pink pants are essential! Get them on!!
