Match Report – We were all feeling very positive and the team had spent a lot of time practicing together, it just didn’t happen on the day did it! Somerset are an extremely strong team with some excellent players – I saw a few games where bad luck played a big part in the loss but I also saw games where we could have played significantly better.  I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed with the result but onwards and upwards for Bristol ladies. There are a few players I’d like to mention. Tori – had her first game and said she really enjoyed the day with the team – welcome to the team Tori.  Jennie – The Somerset game saw the welcome return of Jennie, she struggled to the match after being away on a hen weekend so thanks Jennie – nice to see you back.  Merran, Ali, Jennie, Vicky C and Kate all achieved 2 from 4 frames – well done to you all. Imagine how much closer the scoreline would have been if we had all won half our games.

 

Thanks also go from me to Michelle, Hayley, Merran and Pee who have all helped organise practice sessions over the last few months. We should all be proud of our team and the way we support each other – let’s continue that and we’ll see some more positive results. Please ensure you come along to as many practice sessions as possible and get as much match experience as you can by playing on a Wednesday and Sunday where you can. Practice makes perfect!  Please remember to take each game as it comes, I saw a lot of players playing against Somerset with your heads down before your game was even over! I don’t want to see that! Please go into your game with a positive attitude.. it’s not over until the black is potted!

 

Lady of the Match – There isn’t one this month I’m afraid – No-one inspired me with their game (including myself!) I’m hoping that I will be spoilt for choice after the Devon game – make me proud!

 

Next Match – We are away to Devon and I’m really looking forward to it. Devon are a great team and it’s time to pull all the stops out. Please make sure you practice, practice, practice before the match!  I want to see you wearing pink pants and a positive attitude at the Devon game – come on Bristol Ladies!
