Match Report – Bristol A 29-15 Dorset A

Top of the region with two to go happy days!! Another big result against Dorset and a well deserved one too! To be fair the 29-15 score line wasn’t a tad close to what result we know we could have had! With our top player Mark Wood only winning 1 frame and for us still to reach 29, that’s massive, oges to show how much strength we have.

The first two sets were comfortable 7-4 wins, and we were looking at destroying the Dorset side, when in the 3rd we didn’t take the bull by the horns, I think then we realised after only winning the set 6-5 that we needed to getr our assess in gear! That’s exactly what we did! Winning the final set blowing them away 9-2!

 

Man of the Match

Again some quality performances form a number of lads, notably Courty who after being dropped against Devon and missing a black in his first frame, really pulled his socks up and played some very good pool earning him a respectable ¾..

Paul Elliott won 3 from 4 yet again which also could well of been 4 had he no t of knocked in his opponents red after potting the black, the 3 frames he did get though earnt him top spot in the Bristol side. Cooper, Cidermaster and Flacky all also getting 3 from 4!

But man of the match this month can only go too one player, he proved a decision I made as wrong and the 4 from 4 he made at this game was awesome, he was clearly the best player on the day and his finish against Keith Brewer was second to none, Well done Davey Barrett!(please don’t leave!!!!)

 

Next Match

Ok guys here it is, all our hard work all year and it comes down to this one game away to Somerset, we all the stats, we know whats going on, this could be the first year in our history to send both sides to Yarmouth, we know we can do it.

So being that this may be my, yours and anyone else’s only opportunity in a long time to re write the record books, lets give for one day absolutely everything we got, lets take the roof off with noise and support and lets play out of our skin! LETS DO EM BOYS ……… BASHER STYLE…..CCOOOOMMMMMMEEE OOOOONNNNNNNNNN!!
