Match Report – Wiltshire A 13-31 Wiltshire A

Bristol men’s A Team have transformed, WOW!! After the Somerset defeat and performance, the transformation for this game was massive and I personally think as an all round performance that has to be in line with the onslaught of Devon last year as the best performance ever I couldn’t ask for more, I talked to all the players before and every single one of you, done what I asked, you were loud, you were supportive, you enjoyed yourself and all played absolutely outstanding. Well Done.  You no what so many times I’ve heard people put down our A team due to lack of support and atmosphere, well it has to be said, the support and atmosphere in our team against Wiltshire was in par with our B’s all day long if not better.  Its how it should be, but please again lets not think its job done, it has to be like this every game, we need to support and encourage every game and I want to see it out of all of you! We play better with it, all of us enjoy it when the team all get behind you when your at the table so we all need to do it for each other all the time! Lets enjoy it!

Man of the Match

So many mentions to give out Tim Robertson (3 from 4), the frame ball potter! Tim, mate you’ll be the death of me!! The amount of times Tim has turned around matches by taking finishes out, its unreal and this was no exception. Out of a snooker pot his last ball and cut a ridiculous black along the bottom rail, It actually worries me now when their simple. Kev Smith(3 from 4), we all know how talented Kev is and it was great to have him in our side. Dave Barrett (3 from 4) and another quality display, keeps Dave out the re trials and guarantees his place for the rest of the season. Mark Court, Mark hit 2 today but what a two it was, two top class finishes and even the two he lost he didn’t make a mistake, one a fluke black from his opponent, Mark came fighting for his place and gave it his all, his team support is second to none he wore his heart on his sleeve and he played out his skin. Dave Fox absolute contender for man of the match with a massive 4 from 4 also Dave also re trialling knew he had a job to do and knew it was out of his hands, but he had to win for his own pride, different gravy. Motm though goes to the Guv’nor for the second match in the row, another 4 from 4 but watching his matches there were just NO mistakes this boy is something else and proved it yet again, watch out Gerbil there is a new doubler in town! Well played Flacky

Next Match

Ok lads, head back on now half way point of season and we are back on top level with Somerset, next match away to Cornwall, there is no point of saying how important this one is because every single game is important now, what I will say though is Devon lost away to Cornwall and we all know how much of a hard place to go to play Cornwall is.  We need to carry on as we were, keep loud, keep supporting, keep it simple and enjoy ourselves, lets pick up on their mistakes now, lets rub it their faces when they fuck up, let em know! LETS KICK THEIR ASS! BASHER STYLE!!!!!!
