Mens A Team Report – Greg Gamlin (Standing in for Mick Dagostino)

Wiltshire A 19-25 Bristol A -
Another great result from Bristol!!! This time at Wiltshire, although Wiltshire seemed to play better than they normally do they still couldn't stop us from turning them over on their own ground. It's always harder away from home yet a score of 25-19 still keeps us in contention for the national finals. Having only one game left away from home this season we have a great chance of achieving our goal.

Kev Smith stepped up to the A team for the first time this year and won an impressive 3 from 4, Shane Thompson in his very first year in senior county pool made his A team debut after all the impressive results so far this season in the B's, Shane managed 2 from 4.  Craig Hill also won 4 from 4 a great recovery after losing all 4 in Cornwall.

Man of the Match - Bristol professional Ben Flack receives man of the match with an awesome display of pool winning all 4 of his games.

Next Match - Well done to all those guys and all the rest of the team, our next game against Devon at home is now a cruncher and is a must, must win!! Lets go for it and get ourselves to Yarmouth!

Mens B Team Report – Lee Rossiter

Wiltshire B 17-27 Bristol B – I must start by saying well played to all of you.  I know on the day a few of you were disappointed that the win wasn’t
bigger.  But  it was a struggle all the way and when you put this win into perspective, it was a case of job done.  (In the last three years against
Wiltshire in Swindon we have had a 28-16 win and two 26-18 wins).  We started off very well, going 4-1 up, in the past we are notoriously slow
starters, and I think we’ve finally found our starting 5.  We managed to win every set in the match.  The first set was 7-4, followed by two 6-5 wins.
Im happy to see we finished strongly again winning the last set 8-3.  Out of our 6 matches,  we have had two 8-3 and two 9-2 fourth set wins.  This is something Im very proud of and Id like to see our dominance to run away continue for our last four matches.  After Devon’s defeat to Cornwall we now
find ourselves 11 points clear of the chasing pack.  Fate is now in our hands and four wins will see us packing our bags for Yarmouth.  However now is the
time not to get complacent and to turn the screw even tighter.  We should remember that everyone has to play Wiltshire again and all the teams will
be looking for big results against them.

Man of the Match – Good displays across the team with Terry Nelson, Jon Millard, James Lane and Greg Gamlin all winning 3 out of 4 frames. My man
of the match though goes to Tim Robertson who not only got 4 out of 4 but was flawless and clinical in his display.  He was never out of position and
was in spectacular form.  Well played that man!!

Next Match – Ok guys this really is massive as its Devon up next at home.  We’ve got an 11 point lead going into this game and any sort of win will see that lead get bigger.  Any defeat will see the 5 bonus points go to Devon and that lead cut dramatically.  Time to stand up and be counted, lets grab
this opportunity with both hands.  I fly back from Florida on the day of the game but have every intention of coming down to see us win!!

Ladies Team Report – Tina Harrison

Wiltshire L 24-20 Bristol LSo close! We had such a good game Ladies I really thought we were gonna do it this time! The final score was 24 – 20 so another 3 frames and we’d have clinched it..  There was such a brilliant atmosphere on the day and my hat goes off to Merran who has pulled herself into 3rd place in the Ladies rankings. Other notable achievements were Kate’s solid 3 out of 4 and Steph who in only her 2nd game managed a rather cool 2.

Lady of the match - My lady of the match award must go to Michelle who came off of the subs bench rearing to go and pulled out a storming 2 out of 2. Michelle will most certainly not be starting from the reserves next match!

Next matchIt’s a home match next game so let’s use that to our advantage and pull the win out that I know we can achieve :0)
