The Bristol Mens A team suffered a setback in their bid to qualify for the Nationals when they were held 22-22 by Somerset at Weston-super-Mare.

They may now need to wait until next year to mount another challenge.

Ben Flack won three of his four frames to take the overall lead in the player rankings.

Bristol Mens B side saw their lead at the top of the table cut to just one point over Devon despite a 29-15 win over Somerset. Jon Millard remains top of the player rankings.

Next month Bristol B take on Devon B in what could be the title decider.

Bristol ladies earned a well deserved 22-22 draw against current champions Somerset.  Bristol remain in fourth place with 137 points.

Kate McDonnell continued her impressive form by winning three of her four frames.

McDonnell now leads the rankings in the Sout West and is in the top 20 of the national rankings and has a realistic chance of being awarded an England trial.
