Mens Ranking : Ricki Noble rises to 7th following his unbeaten run in Wiltshire

Clean sweep for the Bristol teams
Evening Post - May 26 2005

All three teams won their fourth game of the county pool season against Wiltshire in Swindon.

The Men's A team raced into a 16-6 lead before running out 24-20 winners, Ben Flack and Dave Fox both taking 12 of their 16 frames.

The Men's B side took their match 28-16, Dave Barrett and Mark Stevens winning 10 of their 16 frames.

The best performance of the day came from Ricki Noble (pictured), who won all four of his frames to boost his position in the current rankings to seventh.

Bristol B remain in second place in the standings, however, other results have seen Devon increase their lead to seven points.

The ladies won their first match of the season with a very comfortable 28-16 success over Wiltshire Ladies.  Kate McDonnell continued her impressive form, extending her lead at the top of the rankings to two frames over second place Holly Bird and Lynne Emerton.  Ashley-Marie Bird rose to fourth in the rankings after winning all four of her frames.

The triumph has catapulted the ladies from bottom to fourth.  However, it will be hard to overturn the 20 point gap between them and leaders Somerset.

Bristol next game is at home against Dorset on June 19.  Anyone Interested in competing can phone Jennie Bennett on 07900 825821 or visit www.bristolcountypool.com
